其中一根管子上的孔直接面向上游，感知總壓力，而另一根管子上的兩對孔也面向前方，但夾角為79度，感知靜壓。總靜壓和(次)靜壓沿管道長度取平均值，并在管道壁外的連接處提供壓力信號。這些連接器之間的壓差構成了輸出信號。
